Typically, 2 cables run per string. Most systems manage with 1–2 feed-throughs. The savings set is worthwhile if you plan for multiple roof penetrations, a second roof side, a later expansion, or some reserve for the next project.
Does the 125 mm size fit my tile?
The 125 mm version is designed for Frankfurter Pfanne and Finkenberger Pfanne tiles, as well as similarly profiled tiles. When in doubt, briefly measure the tile width at the planned penetration point or ask us beforehand.
What does “2 cables” or “2 cables + grounding cable” mean?
Choose “2 cables” for pure PV strings. If you also route a grounding cable (e.g., 16 mm²) through the same penetration, select the “2 cables + grounding cable” version.
Do I need tools for installation?
No, installation is tool-free: grind out the tile (tile-dependent), insert cables, and hang the feed-through with the cables into the tile. The feed-through then permanently protects the solar cable from abrasion at the tile edge.

Yes – the feed-through is made of robust TPU, UV-stable, and temperature-resistant, making it designed for permanent outdoor use on the roof. Made in Germany from our own production.
Can I reorder individually?
Yes. The feed-through is also available as an individual product – ideal for reordering single pieces.
How to install it simply
- Prepare the spot: Lift the roof tile at the desired feed-through location.
- Insert cables: Insert the solar cables with the installed MC4 connectors into the feed-through – without disassembling the connectors.
- Position without tools: Align the feed-through on the tile; if necessary, adjust the tile accordingly.
- Done: Replace the tile.
