Tip: How many you need depends on the number of roof penetrations and strings – 2 cables run per string. Most systems manage with 1-2 feed-throughs; the set is worthwhile for multiple penetrations, a later expansion, or as a spare.

Do I get exactly the same product in the Economy Set as individually?
Yes. The set contains exactly the same PV roof feed-through (150 mm) as sold individually – just cheaper per unit. You choose the set size (2-pack, 4-pack, or 6-pack) and the version above.
How many feed-throughs do I need?
Generally, 2 cables run per string. Most systems manage with 1-2 feed-throughs. The Economy Set is worthwhile if you are planning multiple roof penetrations, a second roof side, a later expansion, or some spare for the next project.
Does the 150 mm size fit my tile?
The 150 mm version is designed for almost all common roof tiles, including large wavy and pan tiles. If in doubt, briefly measure the tile width at the planned penetration point or ask us beforehand.
What do "2 cables" or "2 cables + earthing cable" mean?
Choose "2 cables" for pure PV strings. If you are also routing an earthing cable (e.g., 16 mm²) through the same penetration, choose the "2 cables + earthing cable" version.
Do I need tools for installation?
No, installation is tool-free: grind out the tile (tile-dependent), insert the cable, and hook the feed-through with the cable into the tile. The feed-through then permanently protects the solar cable from abrasion at the tile edge.
Is the material suitable for permanent outdoor use on the roof?
Yes – the feed-through is made of robust TPU, UV-stable and temperature-resistant, and thus designed for permanent outdoor use on the roof. Made in Germany from our own production.
Can I also order individually?
Yes. The feed-through is also available as a single product – ideal for reordering individual units.
How to Install Easily
- Prepare the spot: Lift the roof tile at the desired feed-through point.
- Insert cables: Insert the solar cables with the assembled MC4 connectors into the feed-through – without disassembling the connectors.
- Position tool-free: Align the feed-through with the tile; adjust the tile as needed.
- Done: Replace the tile.
