Fresh herbs and lettuce all year round — no soil, no garden bed, on less than half a square metre: that is exactly what a hydroponic tower delivers. We 3D-print our towers in Germany from food-safe PETG. Here we explain how the system works and which tower suits your living situation.
What hydroponics is — in 60 seconds
Hydroponics means growing plants without soil: the roots sit in net pots and are fed directly with nutrient-rich water. The advantages over a regular pot:
- Clean: no soil, no repotting, no fungus gnats — ideal for the kitchen and the living room.
- Space-saving: vertical instead of horizontal — 6 to 12 plants on the footprint of a single flower pot.
- Fast: direct nutrient supply makes lettuce and herbs grow noticeably faster than in soil.
Perfectly suited: lettuce, herbs (basil, mint, parsley), strawberries and mini vegetables.

Why PETG is the right material
All towers are precision 3D-printed from PETG — the plastic also used for food containers: food-safe, temperature-resistant, tough and recyclable. Manufactured at our workshop in Wildberg, Made in Germany.
How to get started
- Pick a spot: bright, ideally a window sill or balcony; indoors it even works year-round with a grow light.
- Insert seedlings: place young plants or your own sprouted seedlings into the net pots.
- Mix the nutrient solution: water plus hydroponic fertiliser as instructed — top up regularly, done.
FAQ
Do I need a pump or electricity? The towers are designed as passive systems — details on watering are on each product page.
How much care does it need? Far less than potted plants: check the water level, top up the nutrient solution, harvest.
Can I start small and expand? Yes — all systems are modular; the DIY kit simply grows with you via its click system.
